Rust , black and olive green organza saree handwoven Kanchipuram silk border with hand painted kalamkari. The saree is made of organza and Kanchipuram silk and features a multicolored hand-painted vibrant Kalamkari pattern. The pattern consists of various leaf ,Mayil and floral designs throughout the saree. Additionally, the saree has an attached Kanchi silk thin border in olive green.

The word “Kalamkari” comes from the Persian words “kalam” (pen) and “kari” (craftsmanship), which literally means “pen-work”. It involves painting intricate designs using a special type of pen made of bamboo or date palm and natural dyes. The designs typically depict Indian mythology, nature, and other traditional motifs.
